SOLD: BLACK & CHROME BUILD - Depo 08'+ Headlights MAXIMA HIDs
SOLD 7.15.13
Gauging interest for my last set of retrofit headlights. I will be selling these, but the TC1 forums have been pretty dead with selling things, PM me any offers or questions you have.
Out of all the headlights I've built this is best looking set created!!
Black & Chrome Build. Comes with EVERYTHING LISTED, PnP, just add your Highbeam bulbs, blinkers, and city lights and you ready to go. Side Marker is blacked out and plugged up so nothing to install there, plug can be removed easily if you want to connect the wire anyways.
Specs:
Depo Headlights ($187)
Maxima D2S HID Projectors w/Custom Curved Flat Shields & Black series Clear Lens ($150)
E30 Clear Lens Blinker Mod (Over kill but worth it) ($50)
Denso 35W Ballast mounted to bottom (Sealed) ($100)
Osram SVS 4150K D2S Bulbs (1000hrs) ($185)
BSP Blackout Side Marker
Chrome Shroud Accents
Labor ?? (20+ hours over 3 weeks)
Build Gallery
MAXIMA PROJECTORS w/CUSTOM CURVED SHIELD
HEADLIGHT REWIRE VARIATION

Pictures of light output on the road and cutoff?
How is the maxima projector better/compare with the rx330?
If we want a 5000K HID bulb instead of the 4150K....If will plug and play out?

Pictures of light output on the road and cutoff? I will try to get some decent pics soon showing the light output.
How is the maxima projector better/compare with the rx330? Both projectors share the same back bowl, advantage of the Maxima is the open front lens holder and the ability to create a custom curved shield for sharpness and width. These were built for MAX output along the cutoff and have at least 4" more intensity at the cutoff.

Stock Depo's are pretty bad, hit or miss if you get a good chrome coating on the reflector bowl, I just tossed 6 pairs and only half were even worth considering for use. They can be improved but really not worth the time. Retrofitting with a HID projector is best.

I just went through your thread on the Depos. Sounds like a waste of money stock unless willing to open the set up. On oelighting.com stock OEMS are 175 each side. NOT BAD.... i guess. Good luck with sale, things are beautiful.
What exactly would need to be modified on the inside of the Depo's to make a nice light disperse compared to 05-07's? (not swapping out the projector). Like a quick fix, assuming HID's were already added.

Thanks, I hope to find a good home for them.
Yes, OE website has them for $351 shipped, which saves some money over the dealership. Depo's with 4300K HID w/ a custom curved shield would be good, but OEM brackets and projectors modified with custom shield put into the depo headlights would be better.

After I used your Depo lens' for the turn signal mod I used a yellow bulb instead of the amber, looks cool both on and off.
I started using fluorescent light ceiling panels. I almost had them complete but my patience wore off and wanted to get the new headlights in then came how to properly fix them inside the unit without having tabs like the OEM ones have.
I had bought clear corners that someone made for my old '05 headlights that were resin but quickly turned yellow.

Those fluorescent light ceiling panels would work if the side marker was flat.
