2006 Scion xA car alarm - RS3200
I am selling an authentic Scion/Toyota security system for a 2006 Scion xA and I believe only a 2006. I am looking to get $100 plus paypal/shipping. This alarm, part no. 08686-52973-AA, is technically brand new but has been taken out of the box by a Scion technician for install. It did not pan out as there is an explanation below:
"Before I bought it, I confirmed with Scion corp directly this alarm would work with my car, they used my VIN, and said, you have power door locks so you're good. Well, I bought it and took it to the Scion dealership who told me they would install just as long as it was an authentic Scion part (it is!). I get a call a few hours later, they cannot install it because of all the connectors not matching up (I have an email from Service manager) but they had in stock a $500 part (including labor) I could buy and it would work with my car. Needless to say, I said no. That is why it was never installed. I still feel like they didn't try at all or wanted more $$$ out of me but that is my opinion."
If you are interested, I would first email or call Scion directly to see if it will work on your car. I never tried to install it myself but kind of wish I tried. I did use 1 zip tie out of it. As far as I know, it is a functioning part since it has never been used and all the parts are there. I cannot confirm it but if you are will to take a small chance, this would be great addition to your ride.
DISCLAIMER: You are buying this part at your own risk! To my knowledge, everything is included in the original box to make this part function properly and I am not responsible for it once it is shipped. I am not responsible for any damage done to your car when attempting to install or anytime there after.
