Nope, Regular gas. That is what it is out at the pumps here in Queen Creek.
We have like 4 choices for gas out here, other than that its a long push to the next pump. Circle K, QT mart, Frys Food... and a new cheveron down by Copper basin.

Circle K

Its happening right now. We have several companies here Arizona, that are taking gas trucks to mexico to fill them up. Bring them back to refuel thier fleet of trucks.

Andrew1782 06-10-2008 06:36 PM

So I shipped a package from CAA to TX Fed Ex it was $35....small package. BUT got the bill later....they added and $11 surcharge for fuel! Box was like 10 x 8 x 4.

Anyway on another note I had to fill up 2 times yesterday.....first one at 4.38 per gallon...next one 4.62!

thats right $111 in gas in 1 day!

marx_tc602 06-10-2008 06:49 PM

damn...im still paying 3.99 for 87, and 4.20 for 91. gotta love costco.

Mooneyzs 06-10-2008 08:52 PM

I paid $4.03 at Costco in gilbert yesterday morning and when I swung back back on my way home from work to pick something up at costco the gas had already gone up to $4.05.

Its true its only going to get worse.

Garage1217 06-10-2008 08:58 PM

Scary stuff guys. Here is some food for thought.. Want a free car over the next 100K miles? Just did the math.

A gas sucking SUV that gets 15MPG would use 6666.666 gallons of fuel over 100K miles, scary how that number came up huh :) That is $26,666.66 in fuel @ $4 a gallon.

Now get rid of that money drain and get say a scion XD, XA, Yaris or Civic, somthing that can get 38mpg or above. Over that same 100,000 miles you would use 2631.57 gallons of gas which at $4 a gallon = $10,526.31 in fuel cost.

A difference of $16,140.35 Which is what I paid for my XD *LOL* So over my old SUV I sold off, over a 100K mile period, I will have a free car out of it hahahaha.

Angry_Angel 06-10-2008 11:56 PM

This IS getting scary. I was just watching this program on History Channel last night. They were saying how if things got worse, you could see a collapse of society because supply would go down, prices for EVERYTHING would go up, and people would struggle to make ends meet. It's not that far fetched when you see countries like China and India that are getting more and more dependent on oil, and there will soon be increased competition for oil from those countries.

I wonder, and I wanted to pose this question out there, would motorcycles be a feasible alternative? Better gas mileage? Would it be worth it to get a motorcycle?

BTW - $3.96 per gallon at Costco at 83rd and Bell today was kinda nice.

HondAudio 06-11-2008 12:19 AM

I paid 4.05 last night for 87 octane at the Arco at Granite Reef and McDowell. That was my go-to station cuz it was usually the cheapest. :\

I wonder if taking my spare out would get me 1 more mpg :/

Garage1217 06-11-2008 12:25 AM

I have AAA so I took my spare and jack out, keep a tire repair kit and tiny electric pump with me. Saved just over 40 lbs & added back a few.

Another big weight saver is go to a lightweight battery like a braile 6lb unit over the stock 40 lbs unit. Also lightweight small rims are a smart choice. You could save on average of 30-40 lbs in rotating weight. I am looking at all aspects of gas savings haha.

Drastically lowering my XD had the largest effect, I mean drastic. I slammed it on Tanabe DF's. Hope to see a little better with an alignment.

And of course I keep my tires 4psi under max rated.. My choice on that which helps a ton.

Darn I really do have OCD with everything I do haha.

lvbitwiz 06-11-2008 12:36 AM

$3.86 at Huey's market in vegas, yeahm it's a no name brand, in a crappy neighborhood but he now has a line around the clock

soGone 06-11-2008 04:25 PM

18 miles per gallon

saddest thing is that its 18 miles per gallon and the cars curb weight is 2809 lb lol
