Best All Weather Tire for Snow/Ice?
My son is going to school in southern Indiana (Terre Haute) and I need to know what the best all-weather tire is that will also do a decent job on snow/ice. I realize that all-weather tires aren't specialized for snow/ice, but I don't want to by a separate set of tires and wheels. He has a 2006 Scion tC.

here is some info for you:

i think that driving style and habits are more important than tires. just avoid driving when it is snowy and icy altogether if possible

those seem to be getting quite popular and have gotten good reviews.. not to mention they're priced nicely also.

This will be the first year that i will drive with dedicated snow/winter tires on my car. My wife had done this for years on her car and it does make a considerable difference. I di not have the time or money available to go out and get different rims and sensors for my '08 so I am using the stockies. The shop that I go to will change the winter to summer tires on the same rims for only $25. Something to consider.

i just drove my summer tires in the snow/ice yesterday and i must say it was really fun!
at first, I was nervous...but then once I had a feel to how they gripped the roads, it was fun!
honestly, i don't think my summer tires are any worst than the Yokohoma S32A All-Season stock tires...i just hope i don't say this too early *knocks on wood*
(oh btw...i'm using summer tires because i don't plan on driving much)
