Default Don't Buy From LOMBARD TOYOTA!!!!

Well my InLaws were working with Lombard Toyota to get a Rav4. They called a couple times and were working with a guy named Chuck. they worked with him on the price and got the price to what they wanted and agreed to come in.

Well they get to the dealership and they are going over the final figures and the dealership was trying to get them for another $400 dollars after the salemen worked the price with the manager.

So they talk to the manager about the $400 pirce increase and the manager tells them that he didn't approve the price that Chuck gave them. Then he says "How about I meet you halfway??"

what slim ***** trying to work them over for another $200 dollars after the sales guy called and gave them the out the door price for the Rav4

So, if you know anyone in the Chi-town area, send them to Elmhurst, Naperville, just somewhere else to buy their Scion or Toyota

thanks
Scott

i bought mine from Naperville Toyota and they were cool as hell to work with

I sell fitness equipment and I would never ____ off a customer since an angry customer will tell everyone of the bad experience they had and steer people elsewhere!

Or post on SL and SE:C about it

I'll ask the manager Brandon about this. Lombard is our sponsor, and the Scion guys have been awesome to deal with.

I don't know about the Toyota side of the house....

hmmm.
i actually got my tC from there.
worked with a salesman named bob who was BY FAR the best person ive ever dealed with.
no haggle, very informative, and was impressed with how much i knew when i came in.
he even told me not to buy any of the aftermarket stuff. (i wanted the car cover) he steered me away and told me i could get it cheaper online.
sadly he just left there and is workin at the chevy dealer in bensenville now.

You cant compare scion sales from toyota. Scions are pure price, so there is no haggle and its easy to sell. With Toyota, it's a different sale. You're in laws should've spoke to corporate and got his a$$ fired. !!!

haha!

chuck fcked up!

but yea as far as numbers go on toyota... your inlaws shouldve stayed their ground on the 400 or threaten to go elsewhere

and as far as the hookedonlucy guy goes... you cant have a case LEGALLY if its just by word unless there is some sort of legitimate witness (3rd party) so i dunno where you get that from... but its funny

im not gonna sit here and defend chuck bc i dont know chuck but as far as the dealership goes... they have great ppl! either way, they shouldve bought a scion instead of a rav4

Never thought i'd say this .. but POO IS RIGHT !!!

a verbal agreement is just as good as a written one. But if there is no other party who witnessed it then it's not a supportive case.

Your in laws should've had him written his qoute before they left the first day. I always do that for every qoute. Make them write it.

They are going to Pauly Toyota and buying the Rav4 today.

Rols is right that the tC's, xB's, xD's are pure price so no haggling. The qoute was over the phone since the original qoute was Sticker which they knew they werent paying.

This is why you don't try to work over someone. My whole family buys toyota's, like family picnic's there are 5 tC's that pull up, a tacoma, 3 lexus, and a beat up corrolla.

So, I am saying there are plenty of dealerships that are not going to try to work you over $400 and honor the price their sales person told you. They lose the sale, and they will lose all additonal people I talk to about a car.

another thing is Lombard Toyota was saying that the paint they wanted was ab additional $400. Pauly Toyota said the paint was the same price.

So was Chuck trying to get another $400 on the price for his own commission???
