Ohio Scion Exposed: A tale of 2 Cities *PICS*
I started Friday afternoon off by going an hour in the wrong direction from the show to Valparaiso IN to meet with Alex at the boys n girls club to show the kids our cars. Then we went to the Target parking lot where they have a huge gathering every Friday of mostly muscle cars.

I asked him if he could drive onto my hood to take a pic but he didnt want to scratch his tire

This meet was huge and not a cop car in site

Then we went back to Alex's house where Raul met us. We left Alex's at about 11pm, got on the toll road and headed east towards Ohio. Fuzzbawl joined the group along the way and we continued on with eye lids heavy and gas tanks emptying. We filled up on gas, rebull and no doze pills at a rest stop in Ohio at about 3:30am then drove for another half hour before making a stop at a hotel parking lot where we waited for the Detroit group to make its way down.

Alex found a great place to sleep in Fuzz's trunk

Unlike him I only got about an hour of real sleep

Chris from SE Detroit called and we hopped back on the road to join there caravan

We stopped at a rest area where the brains of the group shown here on the left made a few calls to find out directions to the show.

With an hour of sleep under my belt all I could do was raise the camera up to the rear view mirror and press the button to hope for a good pic

The roads leading to the show were very hilly and fun to drive.

Due to lack of sleep and Alex's party trunk area I did not take a single shot during the show. The rest of the shots were taken after the awards presentation. SE Detroit took home most of the awards but we did not dissapoint our SE Chicago chapter. Alex took home 1st place best TC. As they began to announce the best xb awards my heart began to beat a little faster. They began 3rd place xb goes to,,,,,not me--2nd place xb goes toooo not me--and the first place winner for best xb goes tooooooo not me,,,,,,wtf how could I have lost. Well I was kinda upset but there were other awards to be given out and maybe I could get one of those. So they announce the winners and I come up empty again. But wait theres one more award left on the table to be given out. What could it be they already gave them out for each model. Well it was for.........................................................................................................................

BEST OF SHOW SCION EXSPOSED OHIO 2006 I would like to thank Raul, Alex, and Adam for making the trip out there with me and chearing me on while I accepted my award. The range of emotion from not winning anything to winning the top award at the show is a pretty amazing fealing. Now back to the after awards pics

Best of Show

Sorry I can't remember the rest of the winners but I know they are in some of these single car shots.

Raul being the mastermind that he is decided to possition us into a puzzle where our cars were inches from eachother

A lot of people left after the awards but there were a lot who stayed to take pics

The gravel area is where they had us all park for the show

Pimp of the Year

Alex practicing his crane kick while taking pics all while under the influence

She won an award

Alex with his award stumbling around the cars

Ok Alex we get it you like Fuzz's car I mean you already slept with it

We wont talk about Fuzz because he doesnt remember most of the show anyways

Driving through the city and seeing tons of trees down they told us that a huge storm went through the day before and they spent a lot of time cleaning the track and getting things back together. The 2 laps around the track were a blast but I dont have pics of that because wellllllll lets just say my view was obstructed. I'm sure Raul will have some good shots of it seeing that he was in front of me in the burn out car. I had a fantastic time and look forward to the next big event......now time to catch up on some much needed sleep.
Your a moderator fix it. Last time I tried to fix a title or original post it deleted the entire thread so I'll let you do it. Just make sure you dont delete it cuz I already had to do it twice cuz I took so long the first time when I previewed it, it took me to the sign on screen and I couldnt get back to my post to submit it. So you make your little changes if you need to but leave the captions on the pics alone. The only tail you got was the alaskan malamute dog brushing up against you at Target. Ogh I forgot to thank my sponsor "Sapporro"

We decided to stay and park close to each other.
shockingly, i too seem to have completely missed taking pics of the middle portion of the event...
for that, i would like to thank Chivas and Sapporo
an SE:Chicago groupie asking for our autographs -- ah, the price of fame

waiting in the blazing sun, for what seemed like an hour, to get on the track

while we wait, tony warns alex that he better not hold him up

alex heeds tony's advice and tries to study the track for the correct race line
(he also practices his crane stance, by standing on the door window frame)

alex was flooring it around the track, rubbing plastic with the tires... when all of a sudden from out of the corner comes this

next thing you know, tony is right behind us with his 'track mod' for more downforce to the front wheels

fuzz was trying his hardest to find grip to keep up

SE was well represented during the awards ceremony -- here are the winners

honestly, when was the last time you saw this many xAs in one location?

an SE family portrait

dave, now you know why we parked so close -- needed to fit all the Scions in one pic

Carlos we have a blast at all the shows we go to. I just wish SE Chicago would take a chance once in awhile and go to some of these further away events to see how much fun we really have. For example the Woodward Dream Cruise and the Jordan show coming up. After HIN Indy I dont think its possible for our group as a whole to have a bad time together. We dont plan events for you to come out and have a bad time, we try and do it for you to have the best time possible. So SE Chi show some love and attendance to these events coming up. You may not think much of how far SE Detroit travels to get to your events but its a hell of a drive. If I was in there shoes I would be pretty ____ed if I didn't get at least 10 cars from SE chi to show up for the Woodard cruise. Likewise I'm gonna be ____ed if I dont get at least 15 from chi for the Jordan show. Its a club not a base, move away from the base to make yourself visible to the rest of the area. Okay count to 10 slowly. No more descussion on this thread about attendance please only about the pics and Ohio exsposed....thank you.....
I for one had an awesome time at Ohio Exposed. I don't remember anything bad really. The 2 laps around the track were fun. I remember that. And I remember holding an empty container wondering where my cheeseburger went. I think I ate it but I'm not 100% sure. Oh, and what happened to my elephant ear?
