Default Tint Front Windshield

Anyone have this done and where? I would like to go 35. Not too dark.

Any issues with local law enforcement?

Oh and I know it is not legal so lets not go there.

Since you already know it's illegal, I'd say it's safe to say law enforcement would have a problem with it...
Why are you asking a question you know the answer to?

I'm not going to get into the legality of it, because you clearly already know that it's illegal... law aside, however, that's just dangerous.

I'm sure you'll get hassled by the cops, you'll probably get tickets while being parked too. It's pretty obvious to anyone when the windshield is tinted, and since you cannot legally put ANY tint on the windshield, it's gonna stick out like a sore thumb and cops WILL take notice.

Not worth it, IMO.

35 especially on the front windshield is dark. you gotta take in account for the other windows as well.

theres an S2K with a dark tinted windshield around Chicago. white one. was at RPM too. with the top down, it's not so noticeable, but he says he does it all the time. sounds a little cocky eh?

only the top 8 inches of the front windshield is legal

50% on a windshield is dark when you have 20% or darker on the sides. I have a guy here in Milwaukee area that will do it for 75 - 100 bucks, and he is gooooood.

i had 5% all around i when i was living in denver.. i had a guy at work tint them and i have to say during the day is was sick. However when i had to leave work around 10pm. I had to get a ride home because it was way to dark and i couldn't see s#$&... My guy had his done with 35% and he got pulled over about an hour after tinting it and the cop had him remove it on the side of the street.

I now have 50% on the windshield and 35% on driver and passenger and 5% on back three... i would suggest if you want to have the windshield done to block uv rays... 50% will be perfect and almost be impossible for a cop to spot outside the vehicle.

Have had the windshield tinted on all the cars that I've owned. Finally got fed up of the attention and removed it from the xB.
I did the strip first and then the entire window 35% and 20% on the sides to match the rear factory tint.

not worth it unless you can deal with the constant stare down by the cops.

Thanks for all the info. I assumed since I have 35 all around that 35 on the front would be the most likely choice. I just want to cut the sun a bit so 50 sounds like the way to go. Milwaukee is a bit far for me but the offer is appreciated. Anyone know someone who could do this in the Chicago area?
