Took my Elise out last Sunday morning in Chi-Town area
I went for a drive yesterday and it was a perfect fall morning.

wow...nice ride! wanna trade? i have a geo metro!
|
there are some angles that I love of this car and others that just seem like there is too much going on. I'd love to hear how the drive is tho
|
I would highly recommend to take a test drive of the car yourself. I can tell you that it's a very responsive car.
Each of those vents perform a function on the Elise. |
You know I see Lotus' around here and there, I'm not too particular about this one but there are some really amazing designs that I love!
|
omg i love it
|
hey!
for some odd reason your PLATE to your car came out all blury! do you mind retaking some more so that i can get a better look at it!? lol |
Great weather for this week! A bonus for the Chicagoland area!
So I drove the car a little more spirited and to check for how the car behaved before I know I have to put it away for good for the winter. I think I have a good car! I stopped just long enough for a few pics. https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y7...7/DSC_3419.jpg https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y7...7/DSC_3424.jpg I'm pretty sure this is my last or second to last outting. Next week the weather forecast calls for rain and temperature drops. Uh oh.... |

But NICE car  All Elise Type 111R imported to the United States has the Toyota 2ZZ-GE engine, transmission (6 speed manual),axles and CV joints installed. Taken from a 2005 Celica GTS but located midship on the Elise. Does that qualify? The choice this powerplant for it's lightweight and high power output. https://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y7...ro77/ratio.jpg It was already federally approved and fit the Elise perfectly. This saved $ for Lotus and allowed the Elise to sell at a lower pricepoint. Thanks Toyota! Thanks for the nice words stillmatic. :) |
Actually it has a Toyota engine in it. That is the Celica/Matrix/Corolla GTS engine and transmission.
|
Doh, I forgot it had the Celica motor until I researched for the retail price on one of these things. 190hp in a 1984lbs car... I think I can easily hang with one of these things with my 163whp 2200lb car :nails:

The first snows have hit Chicagoland so no heading out for my Elise anymore this year. I will start to put it in storage mode. |
Yeah, geez. I love love love the car. I want one real bad. But they are ultra tiny on the inside ... not cool for someone that is 6'3".
