DFW - Grudge Match Event @ Redline to benefit CHARITY
Call out to all SCION owners... that includes me.
So there I was on my home forum... We have shoot-outs of a regular basis to raise funds for Special Needs of Dallas but they never meet with great success... so the grand master thinks up this wonderful idea of having a pseudo championship of teams.
Here's the way it works... you join or form up a team... you register the team prior to the event on AUGUST 11th @ Redline Raceway... You then grudge match the other competing cars that you think you can beat.
But you ask... why bring it here? The reason... most people discount Scions.... I know a few tC's that can hold their own but most of the people on my home forum discount and ignore them. The only reason I got noticed at the last event (besides being a major member of the site) was the fact I threw Mickey T's on an otherwise stock tC... Was kind of funny to see but DAMN they worked well.
Anyways this is my open invitation to all that may be interested. I will be subscribed to the thread and will be posting FURIOUSLY up until the event and after. I want to see a decent showing and not be the solo Scion on the track...
EVENT RULES
RKC Team Racing Rules
Races will be locked prior to event and are unlimited entries to each team. There are no classes just "Street style" runs based on the "run what you brung" concept. Each race will result in a point awarded to the winner of that specific race. See points structure for more info. Each team will assign a Team Leader who will determine the overall vote of the team. However the team vote is decided will be a Team Leader discretion. Standard drag racing safety rules apply for ET and MPH per NHRA track rules depending on the track.
Bounties
To make things more interesting and almost promote sandbagging we have devised a bounty system to make it more fun. The racer with the most wins or with the fastest car or maybe even both will have a bounty issued on them. The bounty will promote these racers to come out and race at every event and will encourage more challenges to him/her due to a dramatic point wager per bounty race. For example: if I have a bounty on my head and someone wants to challenge me, I have the option to either accept or decline the challenge. If I decline due to an unfair race and the race is determined unfair by unanimous vote by team leaders the bounty will not be honored and no points will be issued. If I decline and team leaders vote the race is fair, the points still will be awarded to the challenger. (see points structure for more info) However, if I were to accept than the bounty wager will be honored regardless of fairness. If you don't know what someone has and are dumb enough to accept challenges, that's your fault!! There will be multiple bounties placed with different point values. Also if a bounty is bought out the list will not adjust positions for example if the #1 slot buys out his bounty, the #2 will not bump to #1. If we did that than there's a chance of cheating.
Trades
Trading racers is not as easy as just switching teams. There is a requirement for trade eligibility. A racer must either have more wins than loses and have raced a minimum of 2 races with their current team. All trades must be announced at the event prior to ensure matching for the following event.
Points Structure
individual heat= 1pt per race
Chinese Fire Drill Racing (track permitting) = 5 points per race
Bounties:
#1 Bounty= 25 points
#2 Bounty= 20 points
#3 Bounty= 15 points
#4 Bounty= 10 points
#5 Bounty= 5 points
More to be announced at first event Aug 11 at Redline
Prices and Payouts
Now remember this is all for charity everyone so we are making this as practical as possible due to the admission prices.
$5 per driver (multiple cars permitted for one driver) TAKE ADVANTAGE!!!
$10 per bounty buyout
Donation buckets and 50/50 will be given at every race so give if you can but its all about having fun!
Updates will be made to this thread once the first event is complete and we test what will suit everyone best so some modifications might be made. However the rules listed above will remain enforced until then with the exception of trades. You may freely trade and configure your team until the day of the first event!! Cant wait and hope to see you there.
