Default Star Toyota League City, TX anyone else have probs?

Star Toyota has really given us a bad taste about toyota customer service. we are having a prob with the clutch in my gfs 08 tc 20K miles and they are treating us like complete trash. anyone else had the same bad service? this will be the 3rd time the car has been in the stealership. im starting to get aggrivated by the way they talk to us. help maybe?????

i bought my tC from demondtrond and they were very helpful. my mom bought her tacoma from Star and has takin it back for service. seems pleased. maybe you could take it to demondtrond, because service/warranty work is not dealership specific.

FYI alot of stealerships wont cover clutches because they are considered "wear and tear" items

yeah thats what we've seen so far. but to be sorta blunt star toyota is horrible to deal with. the service manager i spoke to wouldnt let me get a word in and when i finally did started to raise her voice and talk over me. to me thats not customer service. if i wanted to be treated like that we would have gotten a used car from some backyard dealership. star has been around for awhile so we figured they would be good to do business with.

we took the tc in a couple months back because the check engine light came on and the clutch was acting funny and they cleared the code and acted dumb when we asked about the clutch they couldnt give us a straight answer. were currently dealing with scion corporate to see what they can do. if nothing, looks like its gunna be 1500 to get the clutch from star lol what a joke

well they were only able to come down half of the price so i guess thats better then nothing. were both tired of dealing with them so i suppose u can say they won this time. maybe this clutch will last longer then the previous clutch.

well we got the car back tonight and the old parts. the wear on the old parts dont look right to me. ive got pix on the thread ive made in the tc drivetrain section. im making an appointment to take the car and old parts to demontrond saturday as long as they can fit me in. i need a good 2nd opinion of this.

also i dont like how adam from scion corporate has handled the situation. when i called to give the complaint, he almost instantly started placing the blame on her driving without hearing everything out first. i love the tc but HATE toyota/scion customer service.

The manager in charge of Scions at Don McGill Katy has been AMAZING to me, I know that's like, 900 miles from where you live though.

Hope everything works out with the new clutch.

I will never go to star toyota. Me and my friend pulled into Star toyota to check out the camary and rav4. My parents needed a new car. So I was just doing some research and some test drives. After being at Nissan and Honda, I figured I'd check out the toyotas.

I get there. Stood in the showroom for about 20 min and no one helped us. My buddy was pretty angry and asked to speak to the manager. I told him it was fine. They clearly didn't want our buisness.

As we're leaving the manager came out and asked us what the problem was. We told him that we were there for 20 min. and no one even tried to help us. We tried to find someone and nothing. We saw sales people just standing around doing everything except try to sell me a car.

He then tried to say that they're not used to having 17 year olds seriously trying to buy a car. In which we both pulled our license out. I'm 21 and my friend is 24.

The manager gave us this oh big deal attitude till he saw my friend's car. 7-series BMW.

Then the apologies started rolling.

Screw that. I refuse to take my tC there. I'd rather drive an additional 45 min if I need to take my car in.
