import face-off april 1st
#4
I went. Even showed my tC. Didn't really expect to win anything, but I did want to see some of the hard work other people have put in to their cars, and give myself an afternoon to talk car with fellow enthusiasts.
The "best in show" winner was some chick with a WRX SRT that rolled off a trailer 30 minutes before the show was over. No hood, fully chromed engine (literally, I mean everything), with a complete cable tuck. Roll cage, done up interior, etc etc. Thing was definitely built as a show piece and has never ever been turned over. I'd wager $100 this girls fingernails have never gotten dirty under the hood of an automobile.
On the plus side, there was a good collection of Scion owners there that I got to chat with, and a good number of Hyundai Genesis owners, including Mike, the owner of importshark.com. Both my brother and best friend drive the Genesis, so it was fun talking with them too. In the end, it was a fun time. Glad I went.
