Where are the Regional Managers?
#4
Okay, well there aren't regional managers for Scion. There are regional managers in sales, but not a manager for Scion the car. It's only in relation with the selling of Scions. The manufacturer itself doesn't have a regional guy. What's your questions or concerns? I'm sure we've dealt with it before.

I head the regional club for the frs and brz owners. We chatted charity events with neighboring regional clubs for st Judes and are highly active in our area.
Since I'm hosting another event I want to know if they'd like to get involved in any way. I think it would be awesome and beneficial

You head THE regional club? There are many many clubs. I'm not sure your club's scale of legitimacy, but I know there are a lot of clubs, and none of which Scion would care to mingle with. But in this situation, you want to talk to marketing, because essentially, that's all they'd be doing, throwing up some banners, which you could do anyways. Scion isn't going to want to donate to St. Judes through you, or even through St. Judes while you liaison/lobby. They want no part of that, trust me. Toyota/Scion donates to many good causes, in their own right. If they want to donate, then the event needs to be legitimate/public enough for it to be worth it to them. They don't mean to be cold, but a car meet is not worth it to them you know.

I understand that completely. I head the mid Atlantic 86 Club, we've become known for our family based foundation as well as our involvement in activities to spread positivity. I'm not arrogant enough to say they should want to get involved with us, I'm only requesting that they do. This car (frs) has created a family of 200 active members that probably would have never known eachother. And yes we're not a massive club, but in the community we've become a landmark. I'm not asking for donations, I just would like involvement in setting up events like they do on the west coast. I'm just humbly asking consideration

Yeah no worries. Just remember, it's a liability thing. They can't just represent anyone and have their name blindly being promoted. Because they don't know who or what is being associated with their name. You could be an "86" club, but then they send you banners and what not, and then next to the banners at the car meet, you hang a dead baby with a swastika painted on it. And then now ipsofacto Scion is associated **** abortionists. So I wouldn't hope for much unless they send a representative out there at the meet with you guys to make sure you aren't ****'s.
