Hello Everyone,

I recently purchased a diagnostic scanner for my car and I am receiving the following trouble codes:

P0012 A camshaft position - Timing 0 ver-Retarded (Bank 1)
P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
P0441 Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow
P0455 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected (gross leak)
P0456 No Description

Can someone tell me what these mean in laymen's terms and also where to start fixing each one.

I did some reading on some of these codes and there were a lot of people that fixed it by simply tightening the gas cap, so I tightened it, reset the DTC codes and there is no check engine light nor any trouble codes. But I'm sure it's because I cleared them and it probably takes a while for the system to pick up a trouble code.
