Default Looking for some event ideas

Anybody out there from the Central Pennsylvania? I recently was put in charge of Bobby Rahal's Scion department and wanted to fish around for some ideas of what people in our area want to see for wintertime events. I was planning on a night @ the movies maybe. Please post some of your thoughts/ideas. We want to grow some Scion awareness in this area and I fgure the best place to start is with you guys...the owners.

Movie Nights are pretty popular. I guess depending on the attendees, maybe a ski trip, or just meet at a food place to BS and have a good time.

Thanks for the input. You know of any groups/clubs in the Central PA area? I am planning to invite all current Scion owners in the area, but would like to maybe get some clubs involved too.

We'll be in contact with you. Do you have an email address or something?

yeah, movies, meet/greet/eat in the mechanicsburg area would be great! Especially on weekends. :D

It might be hard to get people together in Decemeber because of the holidays but I'd do my best to make it to a g2g!

Default Sorry for the delay

I have been crazy busy at work so I haven't had a chance to get on here lately. I pretty much have all the details worked out for our December Scion event. I will be sending out a mailer to all fo the Scion owners in our market area to invite them. If you receive one great! If not, you are still welcome to come by...please RSVP to events@bobbyrahalscion.net

Event details: December 30th, 2007 starts at 3pm

Guitar Hero 3 competition, food, beverage, movie tickets, and as many Scion owners as I can muster for good times & conversation. There will be prizes awarded for the competition as well as at least 1 door prize. All contestants must be at least 16 years of age with a valid driver's license. Driver's license must be presented to win any prize.

EVERYONE PLEASE RSVP. I want to ensure that I have enough of everything. Thanks, in advance!

I would suggest starting a new thread with the event, location and time in the title. Not everyone will open this thread to find out about it.

Sounds like a should be able to make it. I'll RSVP for sure soon. My car will probably be very dirty unless you offer attendees a free car wash.

Theres alot of Scions in your market doing things on a state wide and even national level. We've got a good core group of about 15-20 Scions that regularly see each other every weekend at different events.

The level of which you want to get involved is really up to you. While movie nights are cool, they can get old sometimes. We've got alot of resources in the area to do events at, it alot of times just comes down to someone making the arrangments and picking up the tab if its too expensive for the individuals to split up. We've got tons of night clubs, tons of entertainment complexes, tons of resturaunts and tons of interests. During the summer, kids want to hang out, but they get kicked out of everywhere on the Pike because no one wants them. If you had a place for them to hang out talk cars and had a rep there to enforce the rules, I think you'd find alot more people our age coming to the dealership for their first new car. In all honesty, they aren't fighting, they arent racing, they arent littering... they just want a place to hangout late night and talk cars/girls/stuff. Thats just one idea.

On a Scion only basis, Ive got idea's out the wazzoo. I've done tons of events and have worked with the region guys on past events. The tuner guys/gals and Scion owners in this market carry alot of weight on their shoulders for company's that help them out. Ill personally always recomend new car buyers to the Scion company because of the way they treat their owners. Its the classic you scratch my back, Ill scratch yours. If others see a group getting special treatment, their going to want that too. You take the role of "leader" to an area with our size market, your going to see success come in large volume. The Harrisburg/Faulkner/Rahal Toyota dealerships sell alot of Scions in this area, yet none have stepped up to help their owners the way the Lustine's and Peruzzi's have in their area's. I know both Scion Champs at those dealers (well Lustine has two) and can tell you that having a Scion champ and helping out your local market will go over very big...esp in our "hood"

Give me a buzz Tom when you guys are ready to do something. The Guitar Hero event went over really well, now you just need to top that
