Default NJ inspection

For those of you who have done anything to your car and have gone through the nj inspection. I just wanted realistic expectations on what will get your car to fail in terms of mods.

What I am worried about for my car:
HIDs - they are pure white in color - no blue tinting or anything, but it is my understanding that aftermarket HIDs are not road legal no matter what
Tinting - limo tint back three windows, 15% or something for the driver and passenger side - not sure about the exact law on this one, in some places tinting in the back is fine and any tint in the front is a no
Tinting - I have a visor strip on my windshield, sits about 4" from the top

Those are the only mods I think will be a potential issue, but any experiences that any of you have had would help. I don't have to get my inspection for another year, but just wanted to be prepared.

Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. I just got my 1 year extension as well, that's why I was curious.

If it's emissions only I shouldn't have any issues.

No more physical inspection in NJ? I'm green with envy in PA - it's the biggest ripoff ever - just an excuse for garages to find "problems" and force you to fix them. Ka-ching $$$$$

If there were state run inspection stations it might help. But then, it might be another opportunity for corruption to creep into government.

Wish I wasn't so cynical...
