I might buy a bike. Not 100% sure, but it's an option right now. Looking at the Triumph Scrambler, Triumph Bonneville, Suzuki SV650, and Harley Davidson Iron 883. I'm looking to get something that's going to be much better on gas, and I figured that with my daily driving route, the bike pays for itself during the riding season.

 

insurance is going to be dirt cheap since its only for like six months

 

The guy at the dealership said it's usually a few hundred bucks for a full year for touring/standard motorcycles, it's the sport bikes that cost a fortune to insure.

I'm really falling in love with the Harley...

 

Just got a quote from Progressive, $487 for insurance for a year under my name, only ~$40 a month.

I think I'm going to check it out this weekend. I'm going to have to sell my quad though...but w/e, I never use it and that's 1500-2000 that I can use as a down payment. So far from the reviews I've read, the new Iron 883 is one of the best standard bikes out there. Comfortable, 45-60mpg, great power, very light for a Harley, and it offers the 'true Harley experience'.

I really want the Triumph Scrambler, but it seems to offer less than the Harley and cost more. I just love the way it looks. It's like an old, vintage WWII bike. But I love the Harley too. The dark look to it just makes it look so bad ___

And Day, not really...I've done brake work but I've never changed lines, only rotors and pads.
