Default Trying to track down an xB owner in RI.

I'm trying to track down the owner of a gen1 xB in RI. His box is Thundercloud metallic with a black-primer spoiler and a severely slammed static-drop suspension. When I met him he was running VW alloys.

He was sitting on I-195 with a flat tire and had no jack, lug wrench or spare. I offered to loan him my spare and used my jack & lug wrench to help him swap it. I gave him my contact info and he promised to drop off the spare in a few days when he'd gotten a replacement tire.

Well it has been months now, and I haven't heard from him, nor gotten my spare back. I'm just trying to track him down so I can get my spare tire back so I don't get stuck with a flat somewhere.

If you know him or his box sounds familiar please let me know so I can get back the tire I loaned him and he decided to steal.

That sucks man, I've done that once, but I got my stuff back the next day, as well as a date :D.

It hurts the most when you are trying to do something nice, and they screw you over...

Are you not quick enough to put two and two together? I'm saying, who cares if you have a spare or not, your insurance will get you roadside and fixed up with no cost until you can afford to buy a new spare if this were to happen to you... Wow dude...

Well my insurance doesn't include roadside assistance for one. For another, I shouldn't care that a stranger I stopped to help stole my spare tire because I can use me (non-existent) roadside assistance until I can afford to replace the spare he stole?

Also even if I *had* roadside assistance all they would be able to do is put on the spare I don't have, or tow me home or to a shop. Then I would have to pay to fix or replace my tire before I could drive my car at all, instead of being able to put the spare on and be able to get around for a day or two until I get my tire taken care of.

I just don't get why you're surprised at this? First off, I doubt that dude has even taken your tire off his car yet. You know all those people you see with spares? Yeah, most of them have had them there for months until that one blows out and then they are really stuck because they refuse to spend $50 at Walmart for a new tire. This is society today. Priorities are booze, drugs, and $3 of gas at a time, and everything else goes to the side. No one is going to call you man. Maybe you'll run into him again one day...

And sorry about your insurance, I shouldn't have assumed.

Wow it sucks when you help someone and they screw you over. Should of snapped a pic of his tag while you were there. I know you where there to help, but it could of been an ace in your hand trying to track the guy down.

I helped other street bike riders before, and have not got screwed yet, and I have had people offer to help me when my battery died. So I will continue to help people. I have a SI, and helped another EM1 SI owner in the dead of summer who was sitting outside my company. He just got his car tuned, and had to make it to philly and something happened to his motor, so I was able to get him to a place where he and his girl were able to wait in the air conditioning for help (my company was closing, and it would of been a potential security risk). They were very appreciative and tried to offer up a 10 spot, but I told him he will need it down the road real soon.
