This is waht i have been up to....*Pictures*
well since i left the scion scene i bought myself a 2007 Honda S2000, which most of you already knew. I have been looking into buying a house, and having the S2000 payment just does not fit into the budget unfortunately.... So Im selling that.
i'll probably just buy a 500 dollar beater car to DD until my project is finished. I drove down to LA to pick up a 1993 Civic hatch. drove there and back in one weekend, don't ever do this its really boring and with a trailer in cali you can only go 55...need i say more?
this is what my hatch looked like when i picked it up. No wheels, no motor, no nothin.
After i got it home and in the garage i began my project. First thing i did was take everything apart that was left on there. pretty much bumpers fenders doors and glass/lexan stuff. Then i began to strip the engine bay and prep it for paint.
Its not your car if you don't bleed on it lol
stripped bay
then i put it in primer to smooth off any imperfections i didn't like.
then it was paint time. Laguna Seca Blue is the color i chose for my hatch. not too flashy yet a color you don't see often.
then came time to strip the cage back to bare metal. this was not fun, not fun at all...
once my cage was stripped i stripped the front half of the floor and got it primered.
then i got my sound dead layed on that part of the floor...thank you raam audio
Then it was prep and strip the rear floor.
Then primer that part, do you see a pattern yet?
Thats where i am today. Today i'll be painting the rear floor and getting my cage painted. Its coming along nicely.
[
Here are a few things i have bought for it in the process of getting it painted and such.
AEM BBK for the front, 12" rotors im getting the blue center powder coated black.
calipers with some blue dust on them lol.
CF mirrors
CF Duckbill Wing for the hatch
I also have an ASR sub frame which allows me to have a Type-R sway bar And i don't know what brand lower control arms i have, they were on it when i bought it, but they are considerably bigger than stock lol.
And on Tuesday my seats should be here, i picked up a couple of Bride GIAS for it they are pretty, sample picture here taken from Google since i don't have mine yet.
And just yesterday i ordered my motor and tranny. I bought a B16b motor which is out of a Japanese civic Type-R. Basically the difference between it and our B16's in America is the compression is bigger and the internals are all already upgraded for more power it came out of a 2000 Civic Type-R and it only has 50k on it And i bought a 2000 Integra Type-R transmission as well it has a better gear ratio and also comes with limited slip. I'll steal a photo from Google or something of the motor and tranny so y'all can see.
and the transmission...
and that is where i am as of this morning. just eating some breakfast and then going to paint. Comments questions whatever you want is more than welcome and encouraged as i love having ideas from someone elses brain, gives me more ideas and different ways of thinking of things. I'll update this as often as i do work and take pictures so keep coming back if your interested

Nick, too bad you have to sell the S2K, wish I had the cash, would love one of them. New project is looking good, I can't wait to see the finished product, going to be sweet, love the color you chose.

okay got the cage all painted, looks pretty good, most of it is going to be covered by pads in the front just in case i crash or something, i don't want my head to bounce off a metal bar...
