Fender Rolling in Socal?

Anyone have a fender roller for rent or know where I can get my fender rolled professionally in LA/OC? None of that baseball bat stuff (i've done it before).

I contacted CEC and Wheel Warehouse who said they only fender roll at the time you buy a set of wheels from them. EF1 Motorsport in Long Beach quoted me $50 per corner. I remember The Wheel Supply in Walnut quoted me like $30 per corner (I lost their contact info).

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I cant put these on until I roll the rear quarter panels.

u can roll the fender and not have the paint crack...its all in the technique and experience of the person doing it.

I went to Superautobacs to have my fenders rolled. It cost me $100 for both rears to be rolled. I rolled them myslef but it wasnt good enough and I was rubbing like crazy. I say pay the 100 bucks and ahve it done right and save your tires all at the same time.

hey Mike ...
does M2Motoring roll fenders???

vikvaughn 01-20-2006 04:11 PM

what's the offset on the SSRs?

ERIKB 01-20-2006 05:17 PM

Damn, MattyRattyPoo's on it. Yup, Superautobacs has the correct tool
and they're located in Stanton (Orange County). They did mine in about
an hour.

HKSpeed 01-20-2006 08:04 PM

Thanks for the replies. So here are my choices so far.

Super Autobacs will roll my fenders for $50 each. No guarantee against paint chipping.

The Wheel Supply (in Walnut) recommends cutting/grinding down the fender lip because they feel most Japanese cars use thinner sheet metal that can buckle from the pressure of a fender roller. On European cars, they recommend rolling instead of cutting. I've seen 240SX's where the rear quarter panel buckled from rolling. They use silicon sealant to prevent rust. $50 per wheel.

EF1 Motorsports in Long Beach. Fender rolling. $50 each wheel. No guarantee against chipping.

what do you guys think?

HawkINX4 01-20-2006 08:39 PM

id do the fender cutting because that metal is gonna stretch and the paint is on there.. so that stretches too.. it might crack..

ERIKB 01-20-2006 08:55 PM

I had minimal paint chipping (on an xB) when superautobacs rolled mine. The chipping was all on the inside of the fender that's tucked under the car so a little touch up paint did the trick. The tool did a great job of rolling it nice and flat.
