Snow chains for a lowerd tc?!?

mountain high has 55in of new fresh snow!! so im planning to go up there tonight but one problem is that im lowerd on tein stechs and hwy 138 requires snow chains.. im thinking that snow chains wouldnt fit cuz my rims are +35 and its hittin the fender a little...

will snow chains fit yay or nay?

Chicken442 12-18-2008 09:45 PM

No! way. snow chians will flex while driving and will hit your fender .

we live in socal. It barely snows and snowtires = $$$. Besides that, if they went up and it was snowing, chains would still be required.

I suggest just waiting a day or two...i bet the mandatory chain requirement will be lifted sometime this weekend so long as it doesn't randomly rain...

yea but here in cali, even if you do have snow tires....if its 2wd, chains are manditory.
if you your 4x4 with snow tires...you dont need them

in cali, anything that falls from the sky requires some law

shupes31 12-18-2008 11:03 PM

yeah, i understand about the mandatory chains. but yeah, with the OP's car lowered, chains would be a bad idea

dasiknes803 12-18-2008 11:03 PM
