I'll go easy on you since you're new. Search around. This is a very common question.

The way the stock intake is designed, it whistles at a certain throttle. If it's the same whistle, its nothing to be worried about.

It's like a text message gone horribly wrong.

As for the whistling, it'll go away once you get your turbo

If your vehicle is stock. On the OEM air box.. there is a plastic piece that makes the sound of an intake. So it sounds...cool...but yea...thats it. I just kicked my oem Tc box in the garage yesterday hah

Default Intake Whistle

I have 2009 scion tc and I never had any intake whistle. I used to own a 2005 tc. What changed?

ok so i installed a trd intake and whistling is louder. so i come to the conclusion that its prolly commin from the throttle body. i dont really wana ____ with that. so i guess in stuck wit it. btw i jus ordered weapon r header(WOOP!) for 446$ and raspy noise combined wit 13 extra hp n torque= who cares about whistling noise.

the whistlign sound is normal, once an intake is installed it gets even louder, nothing to worry bout. and as far as the header goes ur lucky to see anywhere near 13whp. usually bolt ons for out cars arent the best of choices its not like owning a honda. typical bolt ons header/intake/exhaust you'll most likely dyno 160whp or less. btw where in queens are u?
