Following Frosty...sorta
My new "G" ride!
I previously owned an 89 325I which was t-boned around the 11th of September. About almost 4 weeks later, i finally received my insurance check. Well, I bought this fine 525I this past sunday, Oct 12, 2008.
I would be the 4th owner. The lady who I bought it from, brought it to Colorado from Arizona back in 2003. But since she bought, she only put about 10,000 or so miles on it as it was her "toy" car and drive it only in the summer and on nice days. A lot of mechanical repairs have been done recently like timing belt and waterpump and stuff like that (dont have paperwork in front of me). I know it needs an alignment and the mechanic they took it too, said there were several loose front suspension pieces. The car has 206k, seems to be well maintained as well. The pass headlight is out and they think its the module. So I picked up an LKM from a guy on bimmerforums.com.
The informational part of the instrument cluster works sparatically, so found the DIY for replacing the capacitors, so Ill be doing that soon.
Other biggest thing (not that big of a deal though) is that the front pass seat is twisted from her "big" brother. Not sure if it could be fixed or if I should just go get different seats. But here are a couple of pics I snapped at lunch the other day.
What do you think? Oh yeah, didnt pay that much for it either, $1500 actually.
