even 10 seconds or maybe even 5 would be the difference between a wrecked tc and a not wrecked tc.
I was headed to work following my friend 4 to 5 car lengths back in my neighborhood. Deer came from the right over the fence. I swerve to the right to avoid and miss the deer by only a couple feet but when i went to counter back to the left on the left turn, gravel and tires low on tread kept the car goin straight. I turned enough to side swipe the barb wire fence. Side view mirror is gone and minor to moderate dents along with massive deep scratches stretching from the front to the very back on the passenger side.
Suspension is still good and so far the auto body shop says all body damge should be repairable at a steep price of 5.5 grand. Luckily this is my first accident and i have no moving violations so insurance is happy to pay.
Per insurance lady, i should of hit the deer since the would be comprehenive and not put under collision which shoots ur rates up. Oh well.
Pictures will come soon.
Next time.... I'm Gonna hit that deer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Heres now is some pics, Autobody shop already cutting the tc down.
They had to cut a hole to see how if that side imapact bar is ok and not damaged. If it is tweaked, the entire door needs to be replaced = ( Hopefully it is fine, i'll find out in a few days.

King of suck! I'm glad to hear you're all right! I don't think I would've hit the deer either. Deer total cars not leave scratches. I think for your safety, you are better off.

good to hear that you're okay... but that does suck... I think you were better off NOT hitting the deer...with a low car like our tC's... you'd have a several hundred pound animal sliding right up into your windshield....which could've gotten you hurt as well. This does suck that 2 of our own in CO have had bad things happen with their scions in such a short time.

dont know if people know but in this situtation and u do hit the deer, no matter what happens always tell the insurance that U hit the deer, cuz if u say the deer hit u, they claim it under the act of god and will not cover it. found this out living in oregon with deer and elk,
