So Much Freaking Fun!
Josh and I took his WRX up to test and tune night at Bandimere. It was a Freaking blast!
We got there around 7ish and there was a ton of cars so we had to wait until 8:30 before Josh could make his first run. In that time I saw a tC, a Mustang like mine (only a fastback), a Truck lifted like mine, a 03 to 06 Z1000 (model before mine), SUV's, funny cars, motorcycles, classic muscle, imports & domestic, fast and slow.
Josh got a 14.461 on his first run. Not bad for the first time ever at the track (and having a 100lbs sub enclosure in the trunk).
He got back in line before the 8:45 cut off, at 8:43.
It took forever, for him to get up for his second run due to someone blowing their engine (a funny car), so that took awhile to clean up. As far as I know only three other cars had problems on the track and one of those didn't even make it to the green light.
When your in the pit with all the other drivers they all walk around and talk to each other, so you can learn a lot on what people do to be faster to what to do when you get up to the lights.
Over all it was super fun night.
Things I would do differently:
1. I would drive so I could race whatever I brought.
2. Get there at 4:30 when it opens. Less racers the earlier it is.
3. Bring food and drinks (not alcohol). Just some snacks to keep the hunger down.
I should add it's $30 to race $10 to watch.

I think the Mustang will be up for it this Wednesday, I'll just have kinda play it by ear. I need to take it to someone who knows something about classic muscle cars.
