Default Stevinson West!!! Damn you!

I took my car yesterday for 5000 miles service. I asked them to change my oil and rotate tires. I also mentioned about the rattling noise. When I picked it up last night I noticed the car has 15 more miles then when I dropped it. So I figured.. ok.. 15 miles is a little high but maybe they are really tring to figure out where the rattling is. 15 miles.. that is alot farther than from stevinson west to denver downtown. This morning I started my car and the tire pressure warning turn on. I checked all wheels and found that one of my wheel has been curbed and did some damage on the tire. I called them this morning and they transfered me to the person who was in charge with my car (Name Glen) but I could only leave a message. I am ____ed because I always take care of my wheels. Plus, I see 2 black dirty spots near my sun roof. I am ____ed!!! Any suggestion?

So what do you guys think.. Is 15 miles acceptable or doesnt make sense to fix the rattling noise? I think it should be around 5 miles. Something is fishy here.

I'm sorry to hear what happened to your car Robin! (where did you buy it?) I usually go talk to someone I know (usually the person who sold me the car)...it seems like they are more apt to help you because they "know" you, rather than some random person who happens to pick up the phone. Def. get this handled soon!

I know this doesn't help, but next time (car detail/maintenence or anything) keep and eye on your car!

Again, sorry to hear what happened...

(I had a ____ty experience with Stevenson West too!)

Well, maybe. It is conceivable that they took it out for 3-5 miles, brought it back, tried something to fix the rattle then did it again, and again, and maybe again.

I'm not sticking up for them or anything, but rattles are the WORST to find and even if it sounds the same as a friend's it may not BE the same thing rattling. Many times the rattle just isn't found which leads to great frustration.

Anyway, the mileage may be excusable, but the rim damage is not. Go see what they'll do about that right away. The longer you wait, the more trouble you will have in getting them to compensate you.

Listen to this man! As soon as I got home from picking up the car from the dealership I got out and saw the scuffs on my body kit, I called the dealership instantly. I took it right back over and they STILL refused to fix it. The most they offered me was a half assed buff job that ended up making it look worse.

Luckily at home I had some G2 scratch remover and some wax....looks fine now but it still ____es me off

So yeah....get on that asap

They still didnt fix my rattler problem. They told me its the hatch cover that you attach to the head rest. I took it off and it still make the same noise.

Ken (very nice guy) promised me that he will fix the wheel. Can you really fix that type of wheel? It has powdercoat and clearcoat i think. Plus they have to add more material ( hopefully alluminum). Anyway, they will take care of it and try to fix the rattle again.

I got my oil changed last week and about a week and a half later the service manager called to ask me if everything is going well with my car, if I was having any problems...I'm not trying to rub my "awesome" service in..but I would expect all dealerships to provide the same service...

Umm..the mileage is NOT excusable, if they didn't hear the rattling after the first 3 miles...they sure as hell probably wouldn't hear it the next 8! I would've road in the car with the customer to pinpoint what noise they were talking about. 15 miles in inexcusable!..but i already said that. I say they went and took it out on a mini joy ride...

When I heard a weird noise on my car, I drove w/ my guy less then half a mile and we turned back to the dealership.

Someone show post this thread under "Reviews"

I notice i dont hear the noise early in the morning when the temparature is still cold. Once the sun is out, then it starts rattling.. Maybe it is just me. I should get my ears checked.

dont go to mountain states for service either, as if the body kit was bad enough....both my 5000 and now my 10000 mile tire rotaions ended with the tire pressure warning light coming on shortly after leacing the dealer, according to the manual this can be normal and just needs to be reset. Well the first time i tried and tried the reset and then discovered there was a hole in my tire? Well i got that fixed thinking it could have been coincidence. After picking it up yesterday for the 10000 mile visit and new upper dash yet again i get the tire pressure warning when im almost home. Tried the reset....came back on.....now i must wonder if i have extremley bad luck on the way home from tire rotations or if part of thier srvc drive has a bed of nails in it
