No documentation fee in FL
I know of 2 Toyota dealers in Florida who don't charge the ripoff documentation fee. Earl Stewart Toyota in Palm Beach and Rountree Moore Toyota in Lake City.
This came up in another discussion and I thought it was worth its own topic. Most dealers charge a doc fee typically around $600, and if you ask the salesman will probably lie and say "everybody charges that". There are a few dealers on the Gulf Coast who charge lower fees, but only a couple who don't charge any junk dealer fees. The Doc fee is pure scam because the dealers are charging extra for paperwork services that are already included in the MSRP set by Toyota.

i'm from gainesville but made the 45 minute trip out to Roundtree Moore Lake City Toyota to purchase my scion tC. better customer service and they did waive the $600 doc fee. plus, if you live around the area and get your car serviced at their dealership....you will be eligible for their "tires 4 life" program which is exactly what the name implies. i however like to service my own car and would have hated making a 1.5 hour round trip for every service tune up. But it is still a good program for most.
I was happy with my experiece there. my sales person was "Mike" and yes I will be happy to split any referral $$ that comes my way

I bought my box at Earl Stewart toyota/scion, and was not charged the doc fee and they have free tires and batteris for life, as long as you get all your scheduled service at the dealership. Plus they gave me way more money on my trade than any other dealership or the offer carmax made me. I'll be buying a new car (prolly an xD or xB2) for my wife there once her civic is paid off...
