Yea, and as if just because it has a motor swap, we aren't allowed to talk about it.

I was researching the IS-F engine and I can say for a fact that with out tons of cutting and welding fabricating and even still that engine will not fit in the frs. But it does seem like a nice idea.
Oh I know how big the 2UR is I had an IS-F. I even contemplated taking the 2UR out of the wrecked F and putting it under the XB and making it a rear wheel drive toaster. After taking a huge amounts of measurements and talking it over with my buddy we could both buy two IS-Fs and modify them and have money left over. Putting the 2JZ in is a big motor too and I bet there was a lot of welding and fabricating. Either way I think it would be so fun to put the 2UR in every car. LOL.

Agreed my friend agreed. I woke up this morning and drove the IS-F to the train station just so I could get a mental vision on how it would feel in a FRS (I know I am crazy )

You think that swap runs $35k? That engine probably costs around $5k just because of what car it's used in. Not to mention you could possibly squeeze in the 5.7L 3UR from the Tundra. This isn't the same as taking a tC and converting it to RWD then shoehorning in a Nascar V8.

for the money that these swaps will run you its better to pull the stock motor, swap to lower compression pistons, stronger rods, upgraded head gasket and a few head tweaks, add boost and now your talking about a motor that will have better street manners than going through the hassles of swaping a 2j or other toyota variants. crawford has done amazing things with their brz
