Default FR-S doesn't have auto on headlights?

Hi
I'm just got my FR-S few day ago. And now I recently notice my FR-S' headlight won't auto turn on at night. So I wonder how can I make it work or FR-S just doesn't have auto headlight?

None of the other models do that to my knowledge, so I wouldn't think the FR-S has that feature either. It should have auto-off though.

Check and see if the BRZ has it since it comes stock with HIDs. If so, there may be a way to put the feature on the FR-S.

neither the FR-S or BRZ come with auto headlights. Not a big deal. Turn the **** 2 clicks and they are on.

true it's not that big deal but it just kinda weird that 30k car doesn't have feature that 16k car has ^^!

Manufacturers decide to invest their time into certain features over others. If it has auto off, I'd be happy enough. Sure it may be as simple as $50 to add, but that as well as many other things begins to add up quickly.

The $16k probably isn't as fun as the frs.

Frs and brz do have auto off, but get this, they turn off after 20 minutes of the car being off! You can ask the dealership to change that though. Or if you have Toyota techstream...

@TheQuietThings is correct. The headlights will go off after 20 minutes. The Toyota dealerships at this time cannot change it. We have had this case at HQ so we are aware of the concern. ^AP

Yeah, I wish the auto off was more like the auto off on my first gen tC where you can just leave the headlights on, turn the car off, and the moment you open the d/s door, they turn the headlights off. and then they just turn back on when you start the car up next time. Instead I get that idiot buzzer to remind me to turn them off when I open my door.

Oh well, nice to know that they'll only be on for 20 minutes if I leave them on.

Albert,

I am not sure why Scion is not able to do this. Any dealership can do this. Here is how its done. As far as I know, some dealerships have been doing this for their customers....

Here is the toyota techstream option that allows a faster auto off headlight...

Too much trouble to turn the ****? Seriously...
The money went into RWD, Boxer engine and two fuel delivery systems..
It's about low weight, performance and feel... Who gives a crap about auto headlights in a car like this...
