I really want this car, put the price is going to have to be right.

egobuster1 Dec 2, 2011 05:16 PM

i really want one..
still trying to figure out what the difference is going to be between the scion and Subaru version since supposedly Subaru isn't going to turbo charge there version anymore.

Different front bumper/headlights, different interior, higher price tag. The Scion version will def be the better bargain.

Jon Dec 2, 2011 07:58 PM

Cheaper price tag makes it a no brainer unless you have cash to spend. Also, if you want to upgrade to nicer interior pieces from the BRZ, it should fit since it's the same car.

I wonder how this is gonna shake out,,, not gonna be very fast but if the pricing makes sense(unlike the IQ).. it is gonna be a winner...
needs boost though..get this car in 350hp range and it will be a nice driver

Jon Dec 2, 2011 08:39 PM

There are talks of a TRD S/C putting it at an estimated 280hp. I'll believe it when I see it though.

I can say that the FR-S is not that heavy. I have the actual specs in front of me...

it'll be closer to 300.......

Jon Dec 5, 2011 07:07 PM

Are you speculating or do you know?

TRD’s most popular supercharger conversion is applied to the American market Tacoma pick up, boosting its 4-litre V6 engine from 233bhp to 301bhp suggesting that a 280bhp GT 86 with, critically, a massive boost in the low down torque the car currently lacks would be easily achieved.

Well...what are you waiting for? Post them.

I like my job...lol.

Don't worry, you'll all know soon enough!

highvoltage1 Dec 6, 2011 12:31 AM

I dont like the premium fuel thing. I guarantee it coulda been made to use regular which is about .30 cheaper. Hyundai/Kia and Ford can do it on turbo cars.
