I have a GTI, and I remember back when it was stock. That was 200hp ago when it was only ~212hp. It shouldn't have been a better "track" car against the FR-S, but this is a crazy match up. We have a front wheel drive turbo with a rear wheel drive N/A? Weird match up. I have driven the FR-S a lot, and it's a piece. Very slow and unimpressive. Although, since it is rear wheel drive, it "should" track better than the GTI, but certainly is not a better car in any other means, nor faster, nah mean.

Well not to mention it's almost 50ft/lbs more torque, builds it much sooner AND holds it...and in this test it was an auto (less shift time/distraction). I mean come on...

So the Scion was 2 seconds slower but the Subi was 2 seconds faster?

Im guessing its driver error and should be disregarded.
