Default HID reverse lights on the iQ

I went over to O-NEX today and picked up a set of 15 watt HID reverse lights. With my tinted rear windows it really makes a difference lighting up behind the iQ.

The kit is easy to install and comes with a variety of plug harnesses to make it "plug and play".

There is plenty of room for the ballast and wiring. The reverse bulbs are easy to access as well.

It's amazing how much light is given off by the 15 watt bulbs and they are instant lighting without the delay of the higher wattage headllight HID's.

this looks great. I always wanted brighter reverse lights. I even tried the cree q5 led reverse lights but it has a circular pattern which I don't like. How does the universal bulbs fit? I might try this on the 08 tC taillights.

The bulb fitting uses a rubber grommet type plug. There is also an adapter if the bulb opening is larger than the standard one. It's a squeeze it in the hole operation. Nice and tight. The kit is universal so I'm sure it would work on your tC.

No, O-NEX is one of my sponsors. I'd have to say that after seeing the results I will pay for a set for my wife's Camry though. Super bright.

Not at all. It's a 15w bulb and I don't drive backwards so there is no chance it would ever get hot enough to melt anything. In addition it doesn't touch anything plastic, the rubber grommet that holds it in place prevents that.

They are brighter than the standard front lights.

Very nice upgrade, might have to look into this for the tc now.

Off-topic, but you have a pretty nice garage setup.

LOL, thanks I enjoy being in there. Maybe a little more than my wife thinks I should.
