The part you are referring to is the Front Door Window Frame Rear Moulding. Scion lists it as a non reusable part. That usually means you can just pull it off but it won't go back on. The tabs holding it on probably break when you pull it off.

Best bet is to check with your local dealership parts counter and see what they say.

Talked to my crew about it, we gave it a good exploratory wiggle. Seems the part's held on with 3M automotive adhesive, not tabs. That means you can probably warm it, rip it (debadging style)...but then you'd have to clean off the adhesive from both parts and apply fresh double-sided tape to stick it back on. Best guess.

The stock plastic finish is just a fingerprint gallery. I've some carbon vinyl I want on there instead. Might or might not need to pull the part for that. We'll see. Anywho: its low on my mod list, so don't hold your breath.

i want to paint it black to match my car but im curious to find out what behind it; i remember in the 2nd gen xb(maybe 1st gen) you could rip off the trim around the windows to see the actually paint instead of the shotty wrap....im still thinking its 2nd gen but someone will correct me.....if I have white streaks on my pillar; anyone know what I could use to remove its its literally like 3 huge white streaks like someone made love to my car.....oh god....so i made the dealership order me a new one because thats how it came......thanks again guys
