Very cool looks aggressive with big wheels u just need to be 2in lower to finish up the look :)

lllphoto_le3 02-10-2012 01:05 AM

i don't like it.

Stuxnet 02-10-2012 01:12 AM

Looks sweet! Going to black out the Scion emblems?

TeeCizzle 02-10-2012 01:12 AM

No like the choice in wheels.

U are hella 4x4 the lil car too.

speedy000 02-10-2012 02:12 AM

Lol useless post like
"I dont like it" r pointless!
It's not constructive criticism just a negative reply
What do YOU like about it?

pyroman131 02-10-2012 02:51 AM

I'm not a fan of that combination, but here's what you need to do to finish the look:

1. Drop the iQ (normally you want a high iQ, but this time, a lower iQ is more attractive lol)

2. Do SUBTLE pin striping on the faux grille in your bumper. I think if you use a thin red border around the leftmost and rightmost faux vents in your front bumper, it'll really set it off. Just don't do any other pin striping or else it becomes way too ostentatious.

You've got a lot of red going on for the wheels, so don't bother painting the calipers red.

XIEmperorIX 02-10-2012 04:11 AM

Not a fan of the wheel color choice and it definitely needs a drop with wheels that size.

surfcitylocal 02-10-2012 06:31 AM

Congratulations on your new iQ. Black and red is always a good color combination.

What other plans do you have for the iQ?

BearVsBryan_ 02-10-2012 01:17 PM

I honestly think this car would look better with 16's or 17's And secondly a significant drop.

brownsky 02-10-2012 03:23 PM

going to try and black some more stuff out like the headlights and possibly emblems

brownsky 02-10-2012 03:24 PM

also, on the lowering part, you all should try driving a lowered car in Utah... not exactly a fun event for a daily commuter car

brownsky 02-10-2012 03:25 PM

oh and surfcity, your iQ is looking very sick! really liking all the additions youre doing to it.

I'm beginning to think roads in this entire country suck because that seems to be everybody's reason for not going lower.

I have crap roads too and I drove my tC lowered and a fairly slammed RX7 around town for awhile..lol just do it!

BearVsBryan_ 02-10-2012 04:19 PM

^ this. I've had two inches of ground clearance for a good while now and the roads here suck. At first it's a hassle learning to avoid certain things but it's worth it when you see how good the car looks.

XIEmperorIX 02-10-2012 04:58 PM

What's funny is my WRX is on stock suspension but I still drive it like I am lowered lol it just became such a huge habit to angle into drive ways and over speed bumps and stuff that I do it subconciously now.

brownsky 02-10-2012 05:30 PM

ive driven lowered cars before. im not debating wether it would look good or not, just saying that when you add road dips and what not with snow, it makes driving a lil irritating.

DaReal 02-10-2012 09:35 PM

Looks good with the 18's you just need to drop it a little to close up the wheels gap. Don't do no type of pinstriping to anything you have enough red with the wheels. Anything would look dumb as for smaller rims. It'll look retarded the wheel wells are to big for smaller wheels on the iQ. Wait for a lip kit it'll sweet with one.

I disagree. The SUBTLE pinstriping on the front faux vents (only the leftmost and rightmost ones) would complete the look, or else this is just another car with wheels that have color in them.

For my xB, I have black wheels with subtle pinstriping and also added slight yellow to the front and rear of my car: looks awesome that way.

2011xb4me 02-10-2012 10:56 PM

looks good. ive always like the black on black look with a red accent. nice work!

xbscion 02-10-2012 11:32 PM

If you look at the reflection of the building in the first picture, that is what kind of stripe it needs on the front side going to the rear of the vehicle.

Different look with the larger wheels, I like that!

TRD93 02-11-2012 03:21 AM

As mentioned already, lower your iQ Sir lol!

Did you keep your xD as well?

robbieree 02-14-2012 01:50 AM

I suggest painting the side mirrors to body color. Don't know what Toyota was thinking with grey colored mirrors... Might as well call it iQ "CE" if they were going to do that...

VENisME 02-14-2012 09:48 AM

I like the color scheme a lot. Hell I've had it on 4 different cars, black with red accents always looks good to me. But, I'm not feeling you wheel choice, there's just too much red in it. A black rim with a red lip looks better imo even if a lot of guys are running a similar set up. Also like others have said it'll look better lowered (for me maybe 2"). I lived in Utah for five years and I know what you're talkin about driving a lowered car in the the snow, but it really wasn't that bad. I mean I had a black CRX and was driving for the first 4years there with it. Of course I bought a 4runner the last year I was there, because my Honda got stuck in the drive way during winter lol.

ROCKLANDTOYOTA 02-14-2012 12:33 PM

how much worse is the acceleration with those 18's???

HeLLa_IQ 02-22-2012 01:21 AM

it looks good i had similar idea but i would like to see it lowered

I had my tC lowered too. I had to have the front bumper cover replaced three times. It has two spots that are incredibly weak and it splits. The first time it was a dark object lying on the freeway at night. The second was a steep driveway that had a huge pothole right at the top. You could not see it from the street. The third was a cat who committed suicide. It my car hadn't been lowered, the cat would have went under the car. Instead, its skull hit that spot in the bumper and did $1,900 damage. I will never lower a car again. And that did not include the fact that I had to keep having the clear bra installed with each new bumper cover.

The iQ could come down about an inch without too many issues but it is really not worth the money for a tiny drop.

lilsatan 03-25-2012 09:01 PM

I think the wheels look great. I can't wait to see what you do next.

brandaman50l 04-04-2012 01:15 AM

that thing is cool!!

2006xbbop 05-19-2012 02:30 PM
