Finally picked up my iQ today :) The ride is nice, very stable on the freeway, and it actually feel faster than I thought. The ride is little bit too high thou... but overall, I am very pleased with my purchase :)

Congrats! Did you get the alloy wheels? If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for it after taxes and stuff you can pm me :D

yunkikan 12-03-2011 03:28 PM

I didnt get the alloy wheels, planning to get some aftermarket ones. And the price after tax was $19194. It has the speakers package, storage drawer, floor mats, rear spoiler, and a 4yrs/125K warranty :) The only reason that I am getting that warranty is because I drive alot... I traded in my 05 tC which had 172K on it.

robbieree 12-03-2011 05:28 PM

Wow 172k thats amazing. I was thinking of trading my 09 legacy (non-turbo) in, but gf really doesn't think it's worth the trade in..... The manager is willing to give me top dollar for it to cover one that has the same items as your + alloy. I not sure if its worth 700 dollars... Man I hate it when they charge you for floor mats :(

Congrats on the iQ, I like those things.

beandip007 12-03-2011 06:13 PM

Awesome, congrats on being one of the first to get one, do you plan to mod it at all?

Nice iQ. I bet that thing does hecka good on MPG.

yunkikan 12-04-2011 04:32 AM

Thanks guys :) I am waiting for aftermarket coilovers, I wanted to lower this car so bad...
@robbieree 700 for the OEM alloy wheels are a bit expensive... so I didnt get them and planning to get some aftermarket ones too~

robbieree 12-04-2011 05:42 AM

@yunkikan seriously expensive, when you can get them for cheaper with tires, meaning you have 4 spares.... Whose coming out with aftermarket coilovers? Wouldn't the trd springs be cheaper? I also didn't like the ride quality too harsh for a new car. I swear my GF's corolla went over bumps better.

yunkikan 12-04-2011 07:23 AM

Hopefully Tein will come out with some coilovers. The height of the ride is pretty high, i don't think the TRD springs will be lower enough :P The ride is little bumpy, but i can live with it :)

ROCKLANDTOYOTA 12-04-2011 02:58 PM

TRD springs ALWAYS advertise a small drop but when installed its a different song.....

I know some ideas you can do:
*Get rid of that One Toyota for Oakland, unless that stopped cops from pulling you over for no plates no need to give out free advertisements"

1. Retrofit hid projectors :) Might get away with some hid's installed
2. Led for reverse lights/tail lights?
3. BODY COLORED side mirrors
4. Shubby antenna.
5. Emblem removal :)

AUTO Design 12-05-2011 08:51 AM

Congrats on your new car! Let me know if you need some HID & LEDs upgrade :)
