I'm thinking about purchasing a 2012 scion IQ. I just have one concern, is it made for the fatties too? I've seen big people in smart cars and Volkswagen beetles looking just squashed. However I've also driven an element where the inside would seem just as cramped and its not. How is the interior from a fatties pot? I'd appreciate some help with this I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.

 

Ummm... I am at 33 months & 20500 miles into a 2013 iQ... I am 6' and was up to 280 lbs before coming down to 245 lbs... no problems with fitting into the iQ for me.

 

Your best bet is to go and try one on for size.

 

I have a 2012 IQ and it is a 3 seater. The seat behind the driver is occupied by a sub. So I can push the seat all the way back. Loads of room for me. My old lady sits in the front seat with my daughter in the back...they fit with no issues. It is actually pretty roomy. If I tried to fit the pooch in as well it wouldn't work. I have no trunk(replaced with speakers but added a cargo roof rack. So I can store everything on top. Makes for more room.
