New use for an oem radio
I tried to post this in the diy, but I got a mesage I did not have premission to post there. Feel free to move if in the wrong spot. Thought I pass this along as many upgrade the oem radio.
My friend needed a rado for his 1990 Geo Metro. I found the connectors from a Camry fits it when I looked up the connector on installers.com I went to my local junkyard and found one and clipped them off. They gave them to me for free. It was fairly easy to wire up, however the speaker wires were beefier than any of the others and I had to ask my friend to check with his computer. Sure enough it was correct and within in an hour I had it wired up and we were playing it. The radio was a snug fit for his car and he needed to enlarge the dash opening. Below are the pictures in no order. The radio required a bit of trimming to fit flushly in the dash. The car had a single din with storage compartment.
