When I wrote my "Thank You" letter to Toyota. I stated that once my tC is paid off; I was going to buy one of these. Scion customer service called me to thank me back; left a message with their 800# and message of "Next summer or fall for the iQ"

It was at the LA auto show few weeks ago. A tC owner took a picture of a stock iQ that was sitting on the floor and people were able to touch it.

so another 6 months or more of waiting...

i was looking forward to buying one in the first half of 2011.

wonder if this means that when the Scion iQ finally comes to the USA that it will be a 2012 model...

I put my name on the waiting list about a month ago. At that time, word was that the cars would be here in March. I was at the LA show last week, and was told by one of the guys that do marketing for Scion that they just received an email stating to no longer tell people March. They told them to no longer give a date for release.

I am starting to get a little ____ed at Toyota. Perhaps its time to start looking at other manufacturers, as they have nothing that interests me.

Dealers that opted in for the TRAC program will receive a 'test driver' a month or so before the iQ is available. The current info shows a June release, but nothing is set in stone, as they will delay if they want to tweak things for the USDM model. Better to have a super solid iQ on Day 1 than a recall a month in

My dealer just told me they ordered two trac cars and they are on the ground in LA. Would be nice if hey get them soon. I am on the waiting list to drive one of those when they get here.

There was an iQ at the dealer the other day that a few employees got to drive. The closest I have gotten to one is the LA show.

Who, exactly, is/are "ScionDimension"? I'm assuming a U.S. Toyota marketing department but I've never read that specifically. They came through Portland a year ago with the new tC and iQ for a 4 hour show that you had to be invited to so it wasn't just open at a mall. Nicely done though.

I wonder if this relates to the FT-86 at the New York Autoshow rather than the iQ?

They had two IQ's at the Denver Auto Show and said not to expect IQ sales until August.

Disappointing but the earthquake/tsunami had to have an impact and I'm surprised it's not later.
