Shocks and Struts..

Hey Guys, I'm new here, so bear with me. My son has a 2103 iQ and it has 138,000 miles on it. It rides and handles like crap and needs new shocks and struts all around. I can't find replacements at any of the parts stores around me. This includes NAPA, Advance, Autozone, Carquest, & O'Reilly Auto. Are they only available from a dealership or are there some aftermarket parts that would be a better choice? He's not looking for anything extreme, just something that will get it back to stock ride and handling. It's a commuter car, back and forth to work for him. He's a bus driver for Disney and it's a 140 mile a day round trip for him. We'd like for him to be comfortable, if at all possible. I've even looked at Rockauto, Amazon and eBay and can't find anything that fits this car. Can anyone help? The local tire shop here told him they'd do all 4 for $800 and we don't have that kind of money. Thanks.

Thank you, Mr. Luv. Looks like a stealership is the only place to get them. I'm disabled and live on a fixed income and my son is off work due to a back injury right now. Looks like we'll have to wait until he goes back to work. I can't pay for that stuff and he can't either right now. Oh well.

RockAuto doesnt even have a listing for replacement shocks/struts/springs.

Cheapest I found them was through Longo Toyota fronts were $101.xx each

Fronts:

$33.xx each:

Rear:

The springs were surprisingly expensive, about $60 each.

You can get the parts for under $300, and it's really not that bad to replace them if you or he are mechanically inclined.

Thanks, Big_Jim. I AM very mechanically inclined. Been working on stuff since I was 12 years old and I'm 62 now. I've installed a LOT of struts and shocks over the past 50 years. Pretty much done it all except a/c and automatic transmissions. I was just hoping to find a cheaper alternative than the stealership, but it appears that's where we're gonna have to go. I'll be calling one close to me before I try to order and have them shipped. I'm sure I can drive to Lakeland cheaper than UPS would ship them to me for. I appreciate the input.
