I am not sure why this Yaris is not part of the Scion lineup? I thought that Scion was the youthmarketing arm for Toyota?

While deployed a few years ago I rented a toyota yaris. I remember it being basically an Xa, but with a digital dash and a 1.3L.

Killerromances- the TRD turbo is for the 1.5 bB and ist

The Vitz (JDM Yaris) has an RS version, as well as a 1.5 rs turbo

TMG built an (i think awd?!?!) yaris with the 2zz 1.8 stuck in there (lost the link, have the photo on my pc)

For a TRD yaris i'd take nothing less than a 215hp supercharged 2ZZ thank you (like the one in the european corolla t sport compressor), maybe with awd if its not to heavy.

And Toyota, while at it, how a bout that 2.4 turbo TRD corolla hatch (for 2K7/ , and the 400hp supercharged TRD Tacoma X Runner from SEMA ??? nice trio to start out with huh? please? pretty please ?

Considering we won't be getting a tach in the U.S. we have to look to Canada. Looks like it's 6-6.5k.

Following link has all the info sheets. Guages are in combinat.pdf

Oh man, if they don't offer a tach, that'll be horrible. In fact, I probably wouldn't buy one if I couldn't get a tach. Maybe that's a bit extreme, but really -- if you're going to offer a manual, at least offer a tach. I'll pay the extra money.

How were you able to enter the rear seats? Does it have "manual memory" on the front seat like the tC?

Can anyone say Yaris Cup?

The aftermarket base for this car is incredible...the amount of aftermarket parts that can be had from japan is probably comparable with aftermarket support for the civic in the us... this car was actually the replacement for the toyota starlet in japan.

I like it. I've been seeing them in Canada for awhile. Too bad the xB doesn't come in that blue color.

It almost looks like it doesn't redline till close to 8,000rpm. If thats the case, you better believe i will be buying one. It would be a smart move by toyota, Toyota needs another high redline car to compete more so with Honda. max whp is @ 6,000rpm, so the Yaris i would imagine wouldn't redline below 7,000rpm. 8,000 would be wonderful.

No matter how much you dress up a turd, it still looks and smells like a turd.
