I'm having issues with my 2006 Scion tC sun roof. IT WONT OPEN. Initially I tried to reset it like you would if you disconnect your battery. Then I moved on to the fuse. It looked okay but I replaced it anyways. I went back to reset it again with the new fuse and when I hold the button
on close for 10 seconds or however long. The window motor makes a small 1-2 second sound like its verifying that it’s closed or whatever. But when I press the open button the window doesn’t move at all. So there’s power to the switch. Power to the motor.

Where do you guys think the problem is located?

***UPDATE***

I popped out the dome light panel containing the switch for the sunroof. Cleaned up the circuit card and added some super glue on top of the buttons to raise them up some. Sun roof is working now intermittently because the tracks need to be lubricated. Makes sense because the sun roof hasn’t been used in years. Best of luck to all of you guys!
