2008 Scion tC dark blue color code and plate mounting bracket
 

Hi Guys,

What's the color code for the 2008 Scion tC that is dark blue?
Also, anyone know where I can get a front plate mounting bracket?

Just got a used 2008 Scion tC and need some touch up paint and need to put a front plate on but there is no mounting bracket for my front plate.

It should be 8T5. You can just ziptie the plate to the grille, or you can get a bracket like the one from PTuning.

Thanks for the color code. As far as the mounting bracket, I was looking for the OEM one.

They don't make an OEM bracket, they just drill into the bumper.

well it depends on when the car was originally bought.... because if it was bought in the EARLY days of the redesign it would be Nautical Blue Metallic, but most of them are Blue Ribbon Metallic.

It was bought July of 2008. But is the color code the same for either Nautical Blue Metallic or Blue Ribbon Metallic?

No. the two colors are actually quite different. IIRC the door jam should say the color code.

Yea check the door jam out, more than likely you have a blue ribbon metallic. The Nautical Blue Metallic is 8H3

How much does the scion dealership charge for touch up paint?

Should be around $10
