Default Aftermarket Hood & Full Body Kit

I am planning to "restore" the exterior of my tC and was thinking of having it wrapped. It does need some body work .. one or two rust spots mainly on the hood.

The carbon fiber hood and full body kit from Kaminari is what I am leaning towards:

Body Kit: https://kaminari.com/collections/sci...s-body-kit-pur
Hood: https://kaminari.com/collections/sci...lh-hood-carbon

Any other options or comments? I have to check with Kaminari if they still stock them and if they come unpainted.

I can almost guarantee they come unpainted and you might want to get the re-sprayed with a good 2K clear...what you might find is that fitting, prep and painting and you're into the body kit for $4-$5,000.

I am expecting the total cost for the exterior makeover to be $5K or less. The body kit is listed as $795 and so is the hood. I want to go the "wrap" route instead of having it painted as it may look nicer and also less expensive (?!)

I am not sure what kind of prep will the shop have to do to wrap the body kit parts..i have not received a quote for a wrap yet but i believe it will be around ~$2500 so here are my estimates so far:
1. Body kit: $795
2. CF hood: $795
3. Wrap: $2500
That comes to $4,090.

I had sent a query to Kaminari on the fitting -- no response yet so may have to call them. Am I missing anything else? Not sure how much in addition would be for the install...I would think it will be easier for the body shop doing the wrap to install the body kit since they can do the wrap on the parts ...

I am not sure if it is a factory replacement (body kit and/or the hood) but from your post it sounds like it may need some adjustments?

There's still going to be fitting involved and that will likely occur before any paint/wrapping is done...I'd call a local body shop and ask them what their hourly rate is for body part/panel fitting. Even a well fitting hood, with minor adjustments for gaps, etc., is probably going to be an hour's worth of time...side skirts and front/rear facias can be hit or miss, so I'd budget for a mid- to worst case.
