Anzo tailight bulbs burning out
http://www.andysautosport.com/scion/...o00131342.html
So i have owned the car for a year and a half. Bought it used 19,000 miles 07 tc. with anzo heads and tails. The anzo heads burnt out like 4 months into ownership so i got rid of them. Go figure i find out today my tail bulbs are burning out. Only like half of the red leds actually light up anymore. GO FIGURE ANZO YOU SUCK. anyone have any GOOD LED tail recommendations? yes i'm extremely mad i have to drop another 200 right before i go back to school. |
This is why all aftermarket heads/tails for the tC are crap (quality wise and most of them in looks also). The TYC tails are the only real quality ones.
TYCs burn out and leak as well. This is the first issue I've seen with Anzos that wasn't caused by install error. You probably just have a bad set.
I'm pretty bummed right now, too, cuz the passenger headlight and tail light on my tC are blinking really fast. The body shop my car was at definitely messed something up cuz it didn't do that before. I checked all the fuses & nothings blown. I'm sure it's a burnt out bulb or something, but I know exactly where you're coming from. :(
Did the resistor box that comes with the tail-lights go missing or break??? That's the only thing other than a burnt out signal (non-LED) that could cause it to blink fast.
I haven't been able to check cuz I'd have to rip apart my whole sound system to get to my tail lights & that takes a couple hours. I specifically told the body shop what to do, too. :(
Body shops are full of great painting idiots. They know paint... but nothing else! (mostly)
The majority don't even know paint....I've learned that the hard way with BOTH of my paint jobs.
Any aftermarket tail with LEDs will eventually burn out. Thats just something you will have to deal with. I wish the companies that make LED tails would allow the bulbs to be swapped out.
The TYC's are great. I've had the same pair on my car for 3 years now with no leaks and not one led being burnt out.
I've had my Anzo tails for 2 years now and 0 problems.

Actually, now that I think about it, this is the first time I've ever heard of the Anzo tails burning out.
And they're not $200, they're $143 on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-06...Q5fAccessories These exact ones have lasted me over 2 years. |
Same here but I got the ones with the smoked lower section to match the smoked 3rd brake light from Oznium.

They are all the same, they just have different names, some are called anzo, some are called eagle eyes etc.... but they are all the same.

so let me see if i can explain this correctly. . .
fyi: my anzo's are about 2-3 months old so, when you turn on your tail lights i have one led that doesnt turn on BUT. . . when i put my blinkers, it blinks! so i know its not a burned led that i have. . .so what is it? things that make you go, HMM?!:ponder: i really hate it when i see burned led's on other vehicles and now, knowing that i actually have one, ME ENCABRONO:flame: |

It might just have a faulty circuit if only one is malfunctioning yet still working. There are two circuits with two different power levels (one for running lights with low power and one for turn signals/brakes with high power). Shizz happens sometimes but rest assured if you get a replacement from whomever sold them to you, you'll get a long life out of them.
