Default Black Grillcraft grill installed without stock grill!! PIX

Just got done. Took about 20 mins and I think it looks great. I was able to mount the grill without the factory grill behind it. I painted the foam behind the bumper black and everything silver. It looks really good. Sorry for the dirty car, im too lazy to wash it right now.

kwc5811: I completely removed the factory grill, but instead of removing the entire bumper like Grillcraft reccomends i sorta "karate Chopped" around the edges of the grill with my hand. It came right off. for the mounting on the bottom of the grill i followed what grillcraft says, on the top I had a hard time, there are clips that hold the factory grill in, the new grill rests firm on those, so i actually used a zip-tie (GHETTO but hardly visable) on the top mounting holes on the new grill to the bumper. It ended up holding everything very "taught".

motozen: It comes on the grille out of the box. it can easily be removed. Im thinking of putting my tC emblem in place of it.

DuMa: the top of the foam was visable in the center. You can see what i mean from one of the pics on my site.

shuttlegoosecock: I got it from www.namotorsports.net for $109.98. Its on sale right now for that price. Its normally about $150

JasonH: Yes, go to www.namotorsports.net to buy and see pics. Im going to get the bottom but instaed of doing it in an overlay fashion im going to buy a universal peice from www.grillcraft.com and make my own. Im just going to cut out the honeycomb and weld in some tabs and bolt it right in.

DTRUONG_112: THANKS!!! haha

Totally - that grill looks second place to the RS1 grill, but for the huge difference, it looks great! I just wish someone would build an aftermarket grill that had stock mounting points that worked correctly - you shouldn't have to zip tie stuff, you know?

all in all, i love the grill. Once i park it in a lot i keep doing the "double and Triple takes".

smash: Yeah, once i saw the price on the RS1 grill i was like forget it. Ill mine my own metal before i get that one! I like the logo as well, thats why its still there. my original intent was to put my tC logo there since i took it off the hatch on day 1.

iowagary: Agreed. little embarrased about the ziptie. so shhhh, haha

05_scion_tc: NICE, i was going nuts all day because i knew that it was on my doorstep at my house. When i got home i didnt even go in, just went to the front door, got my grill and went to town. Dont they look sweet? I cant wait to see your lower, its gonna look killer! i need to order the bulk so i can get my lower done (factory fog lights). I wanna see your pics too.

The install looks good. Thank you again to everyone for all the orders for these grilles. We've had quite the demand for them! We do have all the grilles in stock in black and silver. If you are looking to order, you can visit our Scion Specials Page by clicking the link below.
