Default Help, replaced window rolled up but won't stay up

Just got my tC broken into over the weekend. I'm gonna hold off on the b!tching. Today I got a guy came by and replaced the passenger's side window. After he was done, the window would roll up and down fine but it won't stay closed. The moment the top of the window touched the door frame, it automatically roll down half way between completely open and completely full. It roll all the way down fine but just can't roll all the way up.

The guy doesn't know what to do and told me to bring it to dealership. Before I take it to the dealership, just wanna know if this is something I can do myself or dealership have to do?

Thanks

you would have to take the door apart and check it out to see why its not staying up...

Ok, I just did some more digging and the feature is called auto-pinch or something like that that makes the window roll back down when it detects that something is in the way when the window is rolling up

The thing is, I got an aftermarket window and i think the installer guy put in a window that might be a bit taller than the original. So when the window is rolling up and hit the top, the motor thinks that something is in the way and roll back down. Need to figure out a way to reset this motor function

Your windows probably need to be reset if he unplugged your window switch, which I'm sure he did. Disconnect your battery for a minute and reconnect it. Now turn on key and hold your windows switches in the up position for about 30 seconds. Then hold them down for 30 seconds. Then back up.
