HIDs 8000k vs 10000k

I'm looking to buy either 8000k or 10000k HIDs. I wanna know anyone's opinion which either the 8000k and 10000k they prefer. Obviously I'm looking for a blue-ish color and I've seen 8000k with a deeper blue than other 8000ks and 10000k looking more purple than the advertised deep blue. Anyway, just looking for opinions on whether 8000k or 10000k is prefered. Also if anyone knows good brand of HID kits please say so. Thanks

I wouldn't choose either one of them, light output sux. anything over 6k is a waste of money. and even 6k is a waste. best HIDs to get are 4300k or 5k but there's no blue in them 6k is the highest u should go with. but if u insist on jus those 2 I'd get 8k

I have 6000ks right now and love them. i wouldn't go any higher than 6000k though.

^^^What he said. (2nd post)
(degrees)Kelvin [8000k = 8000 degreees Kelvin] is a color, not an amount of light. For the appearance of daylight you should go for about 5500k (the sun is ~5778K)

I don't know how well I'm explaining so this page (link) has graphic (colors w/ numbers under them) and text based graphs to make it a lil easier to understand.

Just think of 4300k as zero on a number line. The farther you go from zero the less light you'll be putting out.

6k all the way
