NIA lip kit?

anyone have the NIA lip kit installed? (mostly curious bout the rear lip) wasn't sure how fitment is; quality; ect... as i'm looking for a rear lip and they make one for the side angled exhaust.

Thanks,

Ugly lip kit is ugly.

ok i'll do some reading. i have the rs1 front; was wanting rear lip but because of my angled exhaust i knew it'd not fit so was looking into the rear lip of that kit.

thanks!

Im getting it soon, if you like it go for it. There are actually owners who responded to the thread and not just some conspiracy. Dont let people dictate what you like and what you want.

i saw the front lip in person.

fitment is crap

Your right the NIA lip is the only kit that is made for angled exhaust. the fitment is great. dont listen to people that dont have the kit, anyone who has the kit will tell you its a great kit.

Yea I have been in contact with the owner Kevin and he has given me a run down on the install. The kit actually has great fitment and the kits that dont look right are because they were not installed right

EDIT: I am not just saying this because I am sponsored. I have done my research on the different lip kits and really like this one plus Kevin is a really cool guy.

tCtCtC 09-09-2008 04:48 AM

so, a 1/4 inch gap between the grille and the lip is good fitment?

2006bluetc 09-09-2008 04:51 AM

No gap here, plus do you have the kit? It fits extremely tight around the bumper and side skirts

thats prob because its not the install. it is actually just crappy fitment.

testa422 09-09-2008 03:29 PM

i have the NIA front bumper...not painted or installed yet but I test fit it last night.....the fiberglass itself will need to be worked before paint but as far as the fitment goes...100% perfect...I dont need to do any trimming or sanding or cutting at all...none

yellowxhoodie 09-09-2008 04:06 PM

what do u mean the fiberglass needs to be worked?

when i buy something such as a lip kit, i would expect not to have to sit there and work on it.

2006bluetc 09-09-2008 05:01 PM

almost any fiberglass needs to be sanded and prepped before paint unless you just want it to look like ____

yellowxhoodie 09-09-2008 05:04 PM

so the NIA kit doesnt even come prepped?

2006bluetc 09-09-2008 05:05 PM

Plus yellowxhoodie do you just have a problem with this kit or what? There are other cases with different lip kits or body kits that need to have slight modification to get them to fit or it could be as simple as a bad lip and just send it back to get a new one....Why hate on just this kit so much?

Well I myself am going to prep any kit I get... I had ordered a JP kit and I still sanded and prepped it

Beckaz_tC 09-09-2008 05:11 PM

I've heard good things about the kit and it seems very reaonably priced, i just think it looks a little too bulky and Corolla-ish.
