Default Removing 05 tC hatch shocks

I think there called hatch shocks struts whatever.

Is there a DIY on how to remove them and install them?

Its very very easy! Open the hatch, have a friend hold up the hatch. Grab a small flat head screwdriver. On each shock you have two metal tabs on each end. Slip that screw driver under the metal tab as if you want to pry it from the shock. The one side of the shock should jiggle right off, and you would do the same for the other side. You have 4 clips in total to pry off.

Okay thanks, i looked and i do see these metal clips.

I pulled them out, but the shocks aren't moving. Should i just rip them out?

Okay got em!

All i did was wiggle and twist the shocks till they came out.
