Sunroof won’t close all the way track/guides broken
 

I’m trying just close the sunroof. I’m not concerned of ever opening it again. Anyway to get the driver guide to lower the sunroof enough?

the plastic guides are broken and there’s crackling around the front dome light. So the sunroof doesn’t move at all. Passenger side seems set but I just need the diver side to set so I can tape it down.

Only way to get it to close now is to repair the geared track. It's a one piece part with the rail guides. You can't just replace the track itself. I bought my replacement off ebay. It was pulled from a wrecked car and was in good shape still.

You could try and pull the broken track manually by hand to close it. But you need to remove the headliner to get access to the track.

Is that the one on the side of the glass or the mechanism by the dome light?
