TC 05 Windshield Top Seal - Pops Out
 

I had my windshield seal pop out then bust loose on one end and smack violently against my roof. I brought it in to the dealership and they gave me a loner Matrix for one night. The next day I picked up my car and notice that the micro scratches that it had accrued over 38k were gone. It was crystal clear. Damn they gave me a whole new windshield. I couldnt think of a good reason for that but my seal was fixed.

Now 10k miles and 1.5 yrs. later the center of the seal has popped out again so i bring it in today. They are now telling me that my car has a non-toyota windshield in it and to bring it back to the shop that did my windshield replacement. Funny it was them who last messed with my windshield. So they call the dealership glass shop. And suprise, they have to record of putting in new glass only re-doing the seal. So now they deny fixing the problem. I got the glass shop manager's card and have to deal with him now. They did mention that the glass shop charged them $80 to reseal so hopefully that will be my max cost if anything at all. Wish me luck...

Has anyone else had issues with this top windshield seal on early TC's?

i had the same issue. not as bad as your sounds but ever since they fixed the sun roof recall thing its been out alittle

im getting my windshield replaced 2morrow hope that dont happen to me

wait there is a sun roof recall??

^ its only on certain 05 and early 06 models. the rest have be fixed.
